About Malmø Doc Lab
The Malmø Doc Lab is an documentary initiative for the regional documentary industry in the Öresund region, bringing documentary projects to the next level. If you are currently working on a new documentary project and want feedback from experienced tutors and colleagues, we welcome you to submit a project to one of our workshops or to one our individual consultation opportunities.
The Malmø Doc Lab is a series of project-based initiatives helping creators to realize their documentary projects. Through Malmø Doc Lab we are offering workshops and individual consultations on projects in development, production or rough-cut stages. The aim is to make creators ready for working with the demands for international funding, co-production and distribution.
For the workshops organized within Malmø Doc Lab, we have four editions every year. Dates and deadlines will be announced at the news section of our web site, at our Facebook page and through our newsletter, for which you can sign up at the bottom of this page.
The individual consultations are organised on an ongoing basis, fitting the needs of each project and the filmmakers.
The Malmø Doc Lab is lead by Director Magnus Gertten and Producer Ove Rishøj Jensen at Auto Images. The initiative was launched in 2019 with the aim of facilitating a way for documentary makers in the Öresund region to network, exchange ideas and develop documentary projects.
