Magnus Gertten speaks at Malmö University
Honorary Doctor Magnus Gertten gives a lecture at the Malmö University on February 22, 2018. The lecture is a part of the Honorary Doctor position presented to Gertten in 2017.
The lecture by Magnus Gertten is entitled What stories do we want to tell? Gertten will show scenes from his voluminous documentary production and thereby offer an insight to stories he has chosen to tell in his documentary productions.
Following the scenes from Magnus Gertten’s productions, he will engage in a conversation with Profession Mats Greiff and ProfessorSusanna Hedenborg. The talk is focusing on how people's stories can be told. What stories do we choose to tell? Why do we make these choices? Is there a different between stories told by filmmakers and researchers? And why?
The lecture takes place on February 22 at 17.00 – 19.00 at Niagara, sal NI:B0E15 Nordenskiöldsgatan 1.
