NELLY & NADINE PREMIERES IN FRENCH CINEMAS
Today, November 27, our film Nelly & Nadine premieres in French cinemas. It is the distributor L’Atelier Distribution bringing the film to the French cinema screens.
This premiere comes after a successful festival run across France, where the film has won awards at Festival du Film de Cabourg and Festival Face à Face and has screened at festivals like War on Screen, Femigouin’fest Strasbourg, Chéries Chéries, Ecrans Mixtes, Bagdam Espace Toulouse, L'Oignon, Vues d’en face, Cinepride Nantes, Festival LGBT+ Et Alors?! and Festival Liberté, j’écris ton nom.
France is the 10th country where Nelly & Nadine has a cinema release, following premieres in countries like Canada, USA and Germany. Until now, Nelly & Nadine has screened at 150+ film festivals worldwide and won 26 international awards.
Nelly & Nadine is the unlikely love story between two women falling in love on Christmas Eve, 1944, in the Ravensbrück concentration camp. For many years their relationship was kept a secret. Now Nelly’s grandchild, Sylvie, has decided to open Nelly and Nadine’s unseen personal archives and uncover their remarkable love story.
