Magnus Gertten Honorary Doctor at Malmö University
Today Auto Images Co-Owner Magnus Gertten is appointed Honorary Doctor at the Malmö University. Gertten’s doctorate is within the Faculty of Education and Society.
In their motivation for the appointment The Malmö University states that Magnus Gertten "poses important questions about the people of Malmö and the city, as a meeting place and migration city. Gertten's films describe how people struggle with everyday issues as well as more existential issues. Questions about what makes us the people we are, which is also the foundation of the Faculty of Education and Society".
"It's really fantastic to become Honorary Doctor in Malmö," says Magnus Gertten. “Despite the fact that I have won many awards around the world, it warms my heart in a very special way to be appreciated by my own city.”
